Founder / Principal
Julio Mercado
Julio leads sourcing, underwriting, and transaction structuring at Five Bridge Capital Partners, focusing on lower middle market businesses across industrial services, infrastructure, and other asset-intensive sectors.
His work centers on disciplined deal selection and capital structuring, with an emphasis on conservative leverage, strong cash flow generation, and long-term ownership. He develops detailed acquisition and credit models to evaluate opportunities across a range of structures, and has established relationships with high-net-worth investors and family offices to support acquisitions.
Prior to founding Five Bridge Capital Partners, Julio was an Investment Banker at a leading US-Bank in the Power, Utilities, and Renewables group. He supported a range of large-scale transactions, including the $11.5 billion utility take-private and multiple multi-billion-dollar equity issuances for public utility clients. His experience includes valuation, capital structure design, and investor positioning across infrastructure-oriented businesses with significant long-term capital needs.
Earlier in his career, Julio advised a growth-stage company on financial strategy and capital planning, supporting operational improvements and investor engagement.
Julio holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from The George Washington University, with international study at Bocconi University and Universidad de Chile. He is based in Massachusetts.

Diego Gonzalez
Diego Gonzalez leads operations improvement, research, and project execution across healthcare, logistics and transportation, manufacturing, nonprofit, and government sectors, with a focus on improving performance and delivering complex, high-impact initiatives.
His work centers on operational strategy, process improvement, stakeholder coordination, recruiting support, and data-informed planning.
He has led and supported multimillion-dollar projects by aligning cross-functional teams, strengthening workflows, deploying and streamlining systems across multiple organizations and government agencies, and helping organizations make faster, more effective business decisions.
Diego has also contributed to multinational forums and research initiatives through data collection, synthesis, and operational analysis, supporting leadership teams with actionable insights and practical recommendations. Across sectors, he is known for combining analytical thinking with execution to help organizations improve systems, close critical projects, and build stronger foundations for long-term growth.
Diego holds a Bachelor of Science in Business and a Master of Science in Data Analytics.
Strategic Partner
Reese Crosby
Reese handles strategic positioning, compliance, and technology at Five Bridge Capital Partners.
His work focuses around legal matters including organization structuring, contract negotiation, and due diligence management. He translates high-level strategic goals of the organization into a tangible workflow to assist in both the acquisition process and operating the business.
Prior to joining Five Bridge Capital Partners, Reese was senior Product and Project Manager at a manufacturing startup. He led many projects including developing product lines, managing e-commerce storefronts, development and analysis of intellectual property, and creating company-wide technology solutions.
Reese holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Amherst with a concentration in Biochemical Engineering and an engineering management minor. He also is currently obtaining a J.D./MBA from the University of New Hampshire. He is based in New Hampshire.
